@gulliver
The error parsing tooltypes bug has already been fixed in icon.library 46.4.209. Unless there is some reason for keeping 46.4.206 in BB4 I am unaware of, please update archive. Thank you! |

Don't worry, Gulliver will update the archive soon. Especially Icon.library updates were very constant recently.

>The new misc.resource seems to break AHI on my 040PPC (constant recoverable alerts when ahi.device is accessed).
Confirmed. In my case, guru $00058022 when opening AHI.device, and (seemingly) normal operation afterwards. Cosmos, misc.resource is one of yours, isn't it? Are you working on a a fix for this soon, or should I make an updated BB4 without misc.resource? Last edited by Minuous; 25 May 2011 at 11:37. |

OK, BB4 V0.8r (with icon.library 46.4.210 and without misc.resource) has been released.

I just checked it and it says 0.8r, maybe your cache is stale?

Maybe I should have specified that this is with Xadmaster support enabled in VCII, but that was probably obvious...? Quote:
(Also saw why I was put off from T.H.E. in the first place, the default settings are awful -oddly named menu entries and scripts assigned to Sys:OS35/ when REXX: should have been used.) Last edited by James; 09 June 2011 at 15:19. |

Installed BB4 yesterday to my A4000. Works great now, thanks for all the hard work. It is really nice to see important updates and bugfixes being still made for us 68k users!
I do have couple of issues with it though; firstly, for some odd reason, dos.library update is making my computer really unhappy. It boots up okay but as soon as I try to list a directory or file requester opens, the computer hangs. Commenting out the dos.library update from the LoadModule and LoadResident sections cured this and I no longer have issues. Another strange part is the omission of scsi.device update from the LoadModule list. Without it, majority of my harddrive partitions become in-accessible with 'Unreadable'. Adding it to the list of modules to load and the corresponding entry to the SetPatch's skip-list cures this also. Probably if I were to remove it from the SetPatch's list, it would also cure this, but ofcourse, would then be using the older version of the driver which is not very desirable. I also have a suggestion; now the installer doesn't ask, where the 'Internet' folder is located at. It assumes it is in SYS: where the default location is. Since I have it elsewhere, I had to manually copy Genesis and AWeb to the correct corresponding locations. Also, worth nothing, that the AWeb that comes with 3.9 is in folder called 'AWeb-II' where as this new version is just 'Aweb' so I ended up with two copies of AWeb in the system. Maybe that could be looked into in next version of BB4? |

@janik:
>dos.library update is making my computer really unhappy You should lodge a bug report with its coder. I will remove it from BB4 until this is fixed. >the omission of scsi.device update from the LoadModule list Oops, will fix... >the installer doesn't ask, where the 'Internet' folder is located at Actually the OS3.9 installer and BB1 also assume SYS:Internet so they would also need to be fixed. >the AWeb that comes with 3.9 is in folder called 'AWeb-II' where as this new version is just 'Aweb' so I ended up with two copies of AWeb in the system. I think you mean AWeb3SE (AWeb-II was for OS3.5 IIRC)? The installer script for BB3 already renames AWeb3SE to AWeb automatically. @all: Does anyone have any thoughts one way or the other on whether it would be desirable to incorporate KingCON into BB4? @Minuous
Thanks for the awesome and constant updates mate. I've been using KingCON into my A1200D PPC and A600 burned into the Kickstart for quite some time now without problems (replacing the default con-handler) so I'd thought it would be a nice addition. Even if it fails under some configs for some reason... you can remove it as it's always have been in the past (like ramlib, misc.resource) |

I agree with Marios, having it loaded as a rom module.
Anyway, it would render Vinced redundant, so then should it be removed? What do you think? |

Nice work all with updates to amigaos39, but would be good if you could update a clean os3.9 without any bb at all, to the latest but is that possible?

What about a package with all of the latest libs and updates currently available? This would make burning custom ks very simple Instead of chasing down links that 1/2 the time don't work looking for each lib.

There appears to be a serious bug in xad_xfd. Libs:xad/XFD should probably be removed. Here is a link about a debugging session and conversation I had with the author of xad_7z (Chris)...
