The best game and demo art

Hi, I'm putting together a feature for Retro Gamer on Amiga art, and I'd love to hear suggestions for

- the best looking Amiga games
- the best and most famous Amiga images
- the best-looking demos

I would say that you HAVE to include the work of Eric Schwartz. He was synonimous with Amiga animations in its hayday.

Some of the best looking games (IMO) are Uridium 2, Banshee, Disposable Hero and Ruff N Tumble, all of which are exclusive to the miggy too

Fetish 1 and 2 by Ozone are among the top lookers in the demo scene if you ask me!

Personally I find the demos by Andromeda, Kefrens, Lemon. and Virtual Dreams to be very cool looking.

The best Amiga art, in my opinion, was produced by Dan Malone of the Bitmap Bros.

You might want to check out some of the pixel art produced by some of the members here :-)

Yeah, here are some of my favourite pieces. There might be better versions out there, I just did a quick search on google pictures and I hope I recall the graphicians correctly. There is alot of stuff I really love but this was just a few of the pieces that I would have put in the "Graphics that make your spine tingle" thread if it existed.

And from games I love the Elvira graphics:

Sure, he did a lot of animations, but perhaps he should be included in a "best animators" list or collection instead.

His pixel art isn't all that impressive. Besides, some looney tones-lookalikes with big breats. Yiff? ;-)

If you're looking for demo graphics and know the artist's handle, you can find the demos by searching "deep" for the handle on BitWorld.

The title picture of the Cryptoburners Megademo 2 baffles me to this day. Out-of-the-ordinary, exceptionally brilliant!

Me, I always liked Uno.

NAHHHHhhhh Leffman, totally unrelated of course...

Ra/Sanity also deserves honorable mention - a wizard with the tablet is he! He was the leading inspiration in the "twisted logo" race which set the standard for many years.

Thanks for all the messages so far, I've got six great artists to interview and have gathered some great art (from both the games and the demo scene) to illustrate the piece.
