@john4p & lifeschool : since it's a two games round, would you mind adding the game title as the score table's title ? (like you have done in lemon thread)

Is there a trick to the boss ships on the first stage? I feel like I'm not shooting the right part.

My current strategy is to save a smartbomb because it seems to make them vulnerable.

I usually use the 1 smart bomb, then shoot it in the middle while avoiding his bullets. Most of the time I expand the ship before shooting it.
Sometimes I use more smart bombs, it depends.

You must shoot the ears first, in any order, and then hit the middle of the boss.

Really ? Shoot the ears first ? I never have specifically shooted the ears of the bosses. Only the middle. Will pay attention on my next go.

Edit: Had a quick go. You're right for the ears. Funny as I have played (and reached level 3) without noticing you have to hit the ears first...

Today, was able to reach the scarab boss. Lost two life against him, then all the others after him... (don't know if he appears twice as the other bosses ?)
For the first time I have watched the end-credits and seen that a member of the team had 'ross' as his family name...

Anybody else playing SotB III with the 2 ADFs set ?
Impossible to play the second level as it keeps asking for DISK 2.

Thus, have downloaded another set (3 disks) and now it's working.

This one seems a bit more forgiving than the earlier SOTBs. I enjoyed figuring out the puzzles myself.

It took me a while to catch on that parts of the weapon upgrades are shields. Bit easier, now.

I reached level 3 with four lives but wasn't expecting enemies to appear at the bottom of the screen. This seems one of those games where losing your power-ups begins a death spiral.

Shadow of the Beast III : 7'500 (2'600 + 1'500 + 1'900 + (500 * 3))

There are 27 lines of colours in each vials. 7 lines are missing in the 1st vial.

And a small bonus (even if rule states it's not necessary to complete the sliding-puzzle).
If you can solve it with less moves, just let me know.

It's SotB so it's like "home sweet home"

(even if for me this episode is the worst of the serie).
Anyway, I was a bit lucky as usually Maletoth get about half of my energy.

You definitively have the lead with Hybris. Beating you is kind of Impossible Mission. I will call Ethan Hawk to help me

Didn't thought that my last joke about Impossible Mission would lead to a so successful go. This is my best ever play on Hybris

Killed twice the end-boss and lost my first life against the second-level boss (grrrrr...). I was too close to escape a fast bullet...
Then lost really quickly all the remaining lives on the third level.

I lost a life right at the beginning of level 3-3 which also quickly led to the inevitable game over.

Shadow of the Beast III : This time only 4 lines are missing in the 1st vial. I'm getting the hang of it and think it's possible to beat Maletoth without losing any energy (but I still need a bit of practice...)

Here is another tip as it may be infuriating to see the granite block falling while pushing it.
Place the three balls like in the following picture (and push the block) :
