Miss 19 games only, help? [resolved]

I used CLRMAMEPro on my COMPLETE Amiga TOSEC and on my old Gamebase collection and I still miss (somehow!) 19 games!

Trying to save world bandwidth now. I shouldn't need to download all parts mentioned here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=23694

So is anybody that can help me and zip them for me and maybe use some mass downloader site so that I can get them?

In fact zipped they could even pass through e-mail maybe.

Hello NLS,

Welcome to EAB

Ok, the Flashback disk are probably the ones I created from .IPF files. See this post http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=247575&postcount=88

I'm guessing that the Lords of the Rising Sun disks will probably be the ones that demoniac cracked / fixed:

Both are now in The Zone! for you to try

Thanks for your replies people, but risking to be characterized as a total newbie (irrelevant of my 25 years in computing), I have to say I got what is "the Zone" and where in fact to GET those things.

Bippym if your reply is to me, I don't even understand what you ask

You now have to click Rules & Help and then How do I get access to the zone?

Everything not in a 2005-ish TOSEC (I forgot what exactly I used) should be in the Rare Games packs at http://gbamiga.elowar.com/files/@Main/

Seeing as you're not missing more files I'm guessing you already got those though? Is your TOSEC set very old maybe? (possibly the 0.29 set floating around all over the net)

Other than that, I'll see if I have all those files here (I'm currently in the USA and my home computer is back in Germany, but I should have all GBA files on this laptop) and prepare a fix package. Stand by.

I have the newest possible TOSEC.
No I don't have the rare games pack, but seems my TOSEC is so complete that I almost fulfill this (and is a pity to download 114MB for the possibility of 12 little images).

Flashback and Lords of the Rising Sun are ok now, got them from the zone (thanks Damien), but I am missing the rest:

Amberstar_DiskA [folder: Amberstar_DiskA - size: 880kb]
Amberstar_DiskB [folder: Amberstar_DiskB - size: 880kb]
Amberstar_DiskC [folder: Amberstar_DiskC - size: 880kb]
Cadaver_Disk1 [folder: Cadaver_Disk1 - size: 880kb]
Drol [folder: Drol - size: 880kb]
Gloom Deluxe_Disk1 [folder: Gloom Deluxe_Disk1 - size: 880kb]
Lionheart_Disk1 [folder: Lionheart_Disk1 - size: 880kb]
Lionheart_Disk4 [folder: Lionheart_Disk4 - size: 880kb]
Mean Machine [folder: Mean Machine - size: 880kb]
Miami Chase_Disk1 [folder: Miami Chase_Disk1 - size: 880kb]
SkyChase [folder: SkyChase - size: 880kb]
Wiz 'n' Liz_Disk1 [folder: Wiz 'n' Liz_Disk1 - size: 880kb]

(in fact I have those games in my TOSEC - but seems GB dat doesn't recognize them)

Anybody that can drop them in the zone? They are just 12 disk images. :|
(ah, just read eLowar's last paragraph, sorry I missed it - so I am waiting - thanks!)

Floppy disk 18 files

Well I was already making the file and I'm not changing it now.

Note to future generations: This link will stop working whenever I feel like cleaning up the temp dir.

Ok, I have 2 different versions of Amberstar .ADFs and probably the Lionheart .ADFs that you are after

Will put them in The Zone! now for you to try

Hmmm, I'm sure loads people here have many versions of all the games you are after. As you've discovered though, whether or not they are the ones used in GameBase Amiga is another story...

Hard to determine without looking at the GameBase Amiga files and .ADF CRC32s though

Edit: looks like you don't need the files from me quoted above now... Thanks to eLowar

Thanks people downloading now

I wonder how come and GB doesn't use TOSEC stuff only. It would make things easier and would be the front-end TOSEC never wanted to have (but users did).

...this is weird...

Unbelievably enough, CLRMAMEPro did not recognize Lionheard disk 1, disk 4 and Cadaver disk 1 (the zip is ok, but probably the CRC is different so it didn't pull them out), so somehow I am still missing those three...

eLowar these are the files from your collection and show ok with your DAT test?

Well, TOSEC does not always contain adequate versions. I believe Belgarath first checks all TOSEC versions before looking for alternatives or asking people to create new versions, though.

Er, they were when I last recreated all the packs. They already have the right name, so for now just use them, I'll rescan mine when I get a chance.

I use the best version I can find, DamienD's Flashback and Demoniac's Lords of the Rising Sun as mentioned above)

If they aren't in tosec then they are put in the rare game packs so no one misses out, ok 113mb was a little large just for the ones you were missing, so perhaps in future we'll have the rarer adfs as seperate downloads.

As for the dat problems, well it works here as well, but I remember someone else was having problems, not sure why it's happening but there will be a new dat for the new release soon so hopefully that will work 100% for everyone.

NLS scan your collection and after the scan is finished (I assume you are using clrmamepro) right click in the results window and goto save --> fix datfile --> all listed dat issues

(see screenshot)

You should also tick auto save fix-dat file after (fast)scan, this will save your fixdatfile in clrmamepro/fixdats

when you have your fix-dat send it to me
