Hi I have never heard of a ripped version. It can run from HD if you copy everything over. If 500mb is too much then Its the audio that is the majority of this so maybe you can just replace the voice files with another sound file of low filesize(rename to match), then turn off voice in game. Just an an idea, I dont know how the files are structured for sure

There's CD-rip from certain well-known group from that era. 70MB archived, 100MB unpacked. But unfortunately I don't have enough upstream to waste atm...

As Gordon said, the game is fully playable from hdd if you copy it straight from CD to hdd.
You just need to assign the game folder in user-startup and off you go.

hi

I've original CD, I'm one of those who actually bought it

It doesn't need any assigns.

My problem is that my desktop system doesn't have CD-rom and if I try to download it with ibrowse, it eats fast mem until my amiga crash.

Tower systen video picture is throught composite and desktop have a scart. Wasted dreams is not promotable, so through scart picture is much better.

So I can play it with my tower system, but not with my desktop. I've tried set up samba so that I could transfer files with my amigas, but no succeed

Only way transfer files between my amigas, is amiga explorer through my PC and that is dam slow

I had to assign it in user-startup to prevent it from complaining about volume WASTEDDREAMS not found.

Are you sure you're not downloading it to ram disk? It shouldn't eat that much mem when downloading directly to HD. Or was there some download setting which could affect... anyway, I'm downloading it with IBrowse to HD right now and it goes fine without taking mem.

If you have AmiTCP/IP stacks on you Amigas, you could easily use amiganetfs for mounting each others partitions. It's on by default, so just use netmount command in shell. It isn't the fastest protocol, but beats any non ethernet solutions for sure and is Amiga compatible with protection bits etc. I even use it to synchronize my two MorhphOS Mac minis with BackUp program . Or if you don't have AmiTCP/IP, you can copy needed files for other stack and tune it, but that isn't that out of the box solution

Other option would be install ftp server on Amiga(s). It would be the fastest protocol for transfers.

Indeed. Since we all know AndreasM, I think there's no way to avoid that...

Good job that if you click on TCD's link, and then on register, it's in English.

First I thought that my problems are because ibrowse temp dir is ram: but even if I change it to HD3: result is same, it just eats memory until amiga crash.

Last night I tried to download this, I get it 87% ready

I would like to get some help with netmount command?? I've two amigas in my LAN 192.68.11.57 and 58. Could somebody gave me a example? Does it require any changes to genesis preferenses?

Shouldn't need any changes, if you have default settings mostly.

For example type in shell on .57 Amiga:
netmount 192.168.11.58 ram: ram58:
And you should get ram58: drive mounted and accessible (I assume 68 was typo and is really 168).

If you want to restrict mounting from network, make .nomount file on root of each partition you want to protect.
