Competition Pro 9 pin to USB/GPIO Adapters

Hey,

who can share some tips regarding using an original Competition Pro on a raspberry pi (with recalbox).

I found an adapter at monsterjoysticks .
Also there is the RetroFun Twinadapter that is sold on ebay.

There seems also to be a way of using the GPIO port on the raspberry.

What works best, any experiences?

Thanks
