EA has jacked up the prices of lots of old games on Steam

Quote:
EA might be just returning to Steam after a long hiatus, but many of its older games have continued to be sold on the platform for years. Yesterday, Steam users started reporting that a significant number of them had jumped in price.

It seems to have been the regional prices that have been hit, with the US prices remaining the same. Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition, for instance, is now £24.99, a £5 increase. One of the most ridiculous leaps is Sim City 4: Deluxe Edition, a 16-year-old game that now costs £17.99, nearly double its previous price.

Play this beauty, and you might reconsider! Only 19,99 €, wouldn't you agree it's a steal ?

Prediction: IF EA is planning on returning to Steam they're going to now do some ridiculous launch event where the prices will be "discounted" back to their original price.

But that's a big if.

That is how I saw this, fix prices so that discount is close if not the same as previous price.

Looks like the first release is a fact unless I missed some meanwhile: the Command & Conquer remastered package will release for both Origin and Steam on the 5th of June.

LOL, for limited time you can get 25th Anniversary Edition... at reasonable price of $149.95.

You got until April 10th to make decision...

They are really idiots...

Okay but the special 150 bucks version contains a ton of fan service crap. I don't find it a bad price for what you get to be honest. No way in hell that I am going to pay something like that though

Yep, 150 bucks can get you a lot of weed where I live, too. Legal here, too.

I think that first 2 games (C&C, C&C RA) I have at least 2-3 each on CDs, plus ISO when they offered them for free 10-15 years ago. I don't think I will pay anything over 10 bucks for enhanced edition.

Funny is that first time it came out, I actually completed game on PS1. (both campains)
