Is this just for Amiga TOSEC errors?

I notice 2 Atari ST games are in the educational section.

Atari\ST\Educational\[STX]\Joe Blade (1988)(Players) and
Atari\ST\Educational\[STX]\Smash TV (1991)(Ocean)

I'm pretty sure they should be in
Atari\ST\Games\[STX]\

Hi folks, i have fixed, patched/removed the protections on the french version of Nippon Safes. The original file FR on disk 1 had commands/texts structures bugs, which were crashing the game engine.

I have tested my fix/patch with the 3 characters up to the end, i have uploaded 2 disk 1 for the game in the zone, one with copy protection ON + fix + program in french, and the second with copy protection removed + fix + program in french.

I let you take care of this

So, what is your conclusion, are the corrupted data a Result of dying Disks, or do you think they are bad Scene releases?

...and again, please provide supposed bad dump too!

disks with errors DMSed back in the day. Bad/wrong/partial protection removal is another subject.

The bad dumps have already been inserted inside ADF workshop data files.

Those files are not from the 400 disks i got lately btw, if that is what you think

TOSEC might prefer the ones which are bad but many people like fixed ones... and whenever they get fixed they should really be added but with tags to say its fixed - otherwise do you refuse to accept a fix that was done 2 weeks after the original faulty disk? 3 weeks? Whats the deadline?

Dlfrsilver has uploaded repaired version of
Logo (1990)(Starbyte)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr AFL][b checksum error]
for example,
its just fine for the EAB community, but this disks fails for TOSEC inclusion.
Logo (1990)(Starbyte)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr AFL][b checksum error]
is more than likely a bad dump, not a bad scene release.
For preservation it is our objective to fix such disks, if possible, to its real original, whithout changing anything else, as in dlfrsilver his attempt.
This means, same block/sector usage as in original, no alteration of any datestamps.
Check the zone, to see, what i mean.
1 byte only!!!! changed to get a 100% version.

I don't understand what you are talking about. Both disks were OK, but with corrupted files (read of course : the disks dumped originally has errors, it's not related to the scene in anyway). I have found another version which had the corrupted files ok, with the right files not corrupted.

by replacing the corrupted files with good ones, you get a fully working version. If you check it with ADF workshop, it will tell you that both ADF of logo are good !

Its all about to call it fix or not:
So, you are sure AFL released it by mistake with corrupted files, or because the Original, published by Starbyte and used By AFL for their release, had this errors too?
In most cases such errors are the consequence of copying/dumping to/from bad media.
.
Either way, we prefer fix in place resolving.
