Welcome to the competition!

That's a phrase I've been saying a lot recently... glad you've got involved for Team EAB though - we especially need some more new blood!

I'm curious about the differences in the characters 'personalities' when controlled by the CPU. The Preacher seems to be the biggest coin hog, but I just can't resist being able to use his medkit. Also one piece of advice I have is to let the CPU take any extra lives you find if you have more, otherwise you'll just end up spending all your cash on reviving him.

Oh, and could we please have a link to the old thread so we can see what we might be up against this time around?

I used to save all his money to revive him instead improve his skills.

*Sigh*, I was going to take a break from the competition but you've voted for an absolute classic this round.

the usual cheat is to play in two player mode and let the other be killed and never resurrect him
all goodies are for ya...

If you choose a fast player to begin with you should always collect the goodies. If your CPU player is dumb like the Thug you should always be able to collect the goodies. Besides, I often let the CPU player kill most of the enemies and he hasn't died too often - even the weedy Preacher stays alive - so killing 'em off aint so easy in the first place.

Having said that, it is quite annoying to see a screenshot with a massive score on one side and Zero on the other. I'd like to see those practices frowned upon.

I don't think anybody did that the last time we played it so hopefully that won't happen this time either.

This time I finished, but still a fair bit shy of first place as I missed a lot of stuff in the third world. I expect competition will be pretty fierce in this round as it's a game that many of us have both played and finished.

After I RTFM I see that coins are distributed evenly between players in one player mode, so the preacher being a coin hog is actually a good thing.

Not only would it be annoying, but evidence of cheating, I doubt we'd see any of those.
