Harlequin is big for sure. Gotta find all those switches. Made it as far as TeeVee Land. Need to have more lives though. While I'm better at jumping now, my dodging could be better.

There's a lot of very nice graphical touches in this and an imaginative set of levels with all kinds of themes.

A few more goes and completed Zerosphere. Looks like close to 80k is a natural final score. Though I know it could all be tightened up a bit.

One of my favourite modern Amiga games. Great pick up and play quality.

Not much time left so I'm just going to follow this Amiga Power guide:

Did a quick play of Zerosphere and it's pretty damn good, and a very original concept. I'll see if I submit my score later on.

33360.

This seems quite doable as long as the player is patient, which I am not. Kinda embarassing to be the only one to not finish the game

As for Harlequin, while I love the soundtrack and overall vibe, the gameplay feels floaty and dull. If the game was short I might be able to give some score, but as it is, i'll skip it.

Got to step 11 of the guide. But that doesn't make sense. I can't go to Dream Mile from there. Gotta change the route.

I erred, there's a door on the Rooftops that leads to the Dream Mile. Now reached step 22 of the guide:

Beat it:

I think I got 100% but the last time the percentage was shown was here:

89%

Good game with great music but I'm glad I won't have to play it ever again.

It takes off!

I know what you mean about Harlequin. There's loads I like about it but I haven't had the urge to push on with it. Partly because I've not much time but also the main gameplay loop wasn't as fun after a while, so I haven't made the time. Similar to Robocod in that respect, for me. Another big game I never finished.

You're on a real mission to complete games at the moment, and doing well.

At least Robocod has easy controls and always perfect 50fps though, the Harlequin is difficult to steer and the levels sadly differ in performance.

Less than 10 games to go - then I consider the Amiga beaten and will move on to SNES and Mega Drive.

Games in which I got far before but haven't beaten yet:

Hunter
James Pond - Underwater Agent
Magic Pockets
Mr Nutz
P.P. Hammer

Unknown (or almost unknown) to me:

Brian the Lion
Cannon Fodder

Already beaten but not yet in one go:

Paradroid 90
Targhan

One of these games can be removed from my ToDo-list soon.
A month ago the list also had Gods, Harlequin and Soccer Kid on it.

You may already know this, but before you attempt Magic Pockets, have a read of this thread, as it details the odd logic in the final level puzzle, that requires you to have deep knowledge of the games bonus system to have a chance of beating it.

That Magic Pockets stuff started to hurt my head, lol. Not easy.

Interesting list john. Good luck with Jame Pond. I remember when we played that last, it is very tough. I might be up for another go at it one day with the ability to practice the levels with save states.

I'll have to check out Mr Nutz and Brian the Lion sometime. Could be good.

You should enjoy Cannon Fodder. Great game. I'll hopefully get round to beating it one day.

Indeed. Not looking forward to its final two levels.

I could get to the final level 12 but then it was game over quickly. I'll definitely use save states to practice it.

Mr Nutz is great, played it quite a bit. But Brian the Lion will be a completely new game for me when I get to it.

Begins easy but quickly becomes very tough with the bazookas and endlessly spawning enemies (until you destroy their buildings). I'll use the inbuilt saving option to play through this (after I've reached mission 10 without saves for the competition).
