Exclamation ClassicWB Update Packs

PLEASE NOTE:

You are applying these update packs AT YOUR OWN RISK

Every effort has been made to provide a smooth update experience
However, if you are happy with your custom install and don’t agree
to this then I highly recommend updating the install yourself

A good tip would be use WinUAE to test the update pack on
a backup of your install

VISIT MAIN CLASSIC WORKBENCH SITE

Since the release of ClassicWB Final (version number > = 20), update packs are occasionally available in order to bring the install up-to-date with the latest revision. Unfortunately, these update packs can't always offer an identical setup to starting fresh with the complete major installs due to the danger of overwriting user customizations. Most new features are included however, including the latest WHDload, SFS, Dopus and Popup Menus, given as user-selectable options.

The last update revision for v28 is N/A, making the packs N/A. <- If "N/A" is listed here, it means no update packs are available for the current release. In order for continued support, please install the complete latest release.

Update history and changes are listed in the Important Information & Update Status thread

To find what version of the ClassicWB you are running, please do the following:

From the bottom left corner Run buttonmenu, select System->Version. A page showing the version number will be displayed.

The packs are cumulative and therefore will update ANY v27 update revision to the latest release. Just make sure you download the correct pack for your Workbench (GAAE, 68K, LITE, FULL, ADV, ADVSP, P96, OS39).

Update Procedure
  • Download the corresponding update pack from the ClassicWB update page.
  • Inside the pack, you will find a file named "Update.zip".
  • Place “Update.zip” into the ClassicWB “Expansion/Update” drawer.
  • Double click the “Update” icon already present in the “Expansion/Update” drawer and follow the onscreen instructions.

During the install, any user-selectable options will be made available to you. These can be reversed (your old settings restored) to a state they were in immediately prior to applying the update pack. Simply go into the “Expansion/Update/Backup” folder and double click any of the restore icons contained within.
