Super League Manager

I need help with this game. I won the 1st division 3 times and got told the number to phone to get the national team job (Can't remember it at the moment). Problem is I can't seem to ring it. Can anyone help? (I'm playing the AGA version.)

It is not possible to become the International manager - you are given the number but can never actually take over the job

OK, thanks. Must admit I had a feeling that would be the case. It's rather annoying though - I played that game for so long and there's no reward for it. Ah well.

Hello and welcome to EAB

This thread is certainly a blast from the past... if you want to have a look at the guide printed by Amiga Power, the pages have been scanned on the Amiga Magazine Rack and can be found here (pages 68 and 69).

This is one of the hardest sims I've ever played.

My players NEVER EVER get ratings above 3 after a couple of weeks.

If you can get the training sussed out it's a lot easier - have you checked that Amiga Power guide? That should help you out a lot.

Yeah but even when I do cycle the training as shown, it just keeps dropping everyone to 3s.

I'm following the training schedules consistently, from left to right AND up to down.

They fail after a week or 3.

ANYTHING you can remember at all will help.

Considering there are NO guides aside from that one AT ALL on the net.......I NEED HELP and I'll write one for gamefaqs

What days do you let your players rest? I always rested them Monday and Friday and trained the other three days.

That's the standard setup I use.

For my training I follow the guide in the mag and not else.

Should it be done from what is listed left to right?

Yes it should be followed from left to right. I don't think I ever followed the guide 100% but again it was years ago so I can't be sure. May be worth altering them slightly on occasion too.

It is to start with, definitely - I had to wait a few seasons before I won my first promotion. You just have to stick with it, and some shrewd purchases in the transfer market are required too, though it is tricky given you don't have a lot of money.

What do you mean? You might need to be a bit more specific
