Great! I hope they don't remove turtle mode as mentioned. There is a lot to be said for allowing the A500 to revert to normal speed for nostalgia purposes, as well as compatibility.

Turtle mode will not be removed completely as far as I understand but it will not be necessary much longer due to some other changes in the next core. Also, turtle mode is not exactly normal A500 speed, but maybe 3x to 4x that of a plain A500. Usually slow enough to eliminate compatibility issues though.

Team, is there any inherent advantage to using an SD card as a hard disk over using my pre-existing CF card that was in my A508HD? I'm running it with an IDE adapter and it works great.
If SD is somehow better I could transfer the CF contents to SD. |

I use the IDE. I don't think there is any advantage to the SD. You can't even boot from SD.

Yes, that's exactly what I do. You can get SD-cards in any supermarket or drugstore which is why an SD2CF adapter is a very handy thing.

Until a proper driver is made for the SD-card slot, I'd suggest to use the IDE interface like before and keep using your CF-card like before. No need to switch.
The SD card drivers at their current state is slow, unreliable/unstable and doesn't allow direct boot. So I believe it's better to wait until the drivers are sorted. |

It must have been stressful as hell making all those V600s by hand. Especially when that hand has an injury on it!
