I had a vague memory that Celta Vigo were ok back then but it didn't work out for me.

Denied a 100% record in the final game against Barcelona (a 1-1 draw). The first six results were 2-0 v Atletico, 4-2 v Real, 2-1 v Betis, 5-1 v Bilbao, 4-3 v Valladolid and 5-0 v Deportivo.

Valencia aren't a fantastic side defensively but up front they are dangerous. Especially Romario who scores for fun.

Similar to Graham, a great run of wins including a 7-0 against Betis ended like this:

Capehorn, I was going to compete with your lower score but your latest achievement thrashed me. I am not that good in this game... Congratulations. See you all in the next season.

I think we've probably got three of our four semi-finalists sorted now, realistically. Still one of Harry and jPV can get through and hopefully at least one of them submits a score in the last few days of this round.

As akabei pointed out over at Lemon, nobody pulled up any trees during the F1GP league round so it feels like the competition is wide open now.

Happy New Year to all players.

Thanks Graham. I had a look at the standings and it seemed that all the group winners in the last round were good at Sensi so there was a real advantage to winning the group, which is why I gave Lotus an extra push towards the end.

Sensi is one of those games like SCR that you need to play for a long while to really 'get' it. I can't play SCR at all, but when I first started emulating in 2003 I played this a lot and I was hopeless to begin with. I still can't take free kicks or corners properly but I have worked out various methods to scoring goals that seem to work. Every few years I come back to it and at first I'm rubbish but then I remember how it's done again. As we've played it a bit recently I've still got a feel for it. But different versions of Sensi play differently and had we been playing 92.93 or SWOS I'd probably be hopeless at that. Good luck next year.

In view of the games still coming I wont put much effort in the Knockout this time. Good luck, JPV.

Hehe, yeah.. I was secretly hoping that you'd beat me, considering the games coming Seems that I'd won even with my first minus score too

Unusual Knockout this year...

You should have a close look at the remaining competitors. All F1GP nuts are out of the compo already, so there is no real favourite left for the following round.

Taking some time for F1GP will be the key to enter the final as I don't expect to see any unbeatable scores. It will be interesting to watch.

I think jPV actually performed the best in the F1GP round during the season, but nobody really pulled up any trees so indeed putting the time and effort in will surely prove beneficial.

Seeing as Lemon is down (again), I will say here (as he probably won't have seen it on there) that I did ask Lifeschool - as someone who has rather more knowledge of F1GP than me - if he has any suggestions for tracks for us to play. I think we're better off only driving on two courses, as the round is only a week long.

Lifeschool's idea during the "It's a Knockout! 2015/16: Game Vote" was to pick Spa and Silverstone as the tracks. Not a bad idea imo since both tracks are not as unforgiving like Phoenix (or Monaco) and you can't gain 10 or more seconds by cutting which needs a lot of further practice and tries.

Lemon is working fine now. Thanks Graham, I saw your message. My reply (having tested a few tracks today) would be either Spa and Silverstone or Portugal and Silverstone.

Spa is uncuttable up to the final corners, and is an amazing ride, and very fun. But everyone would have to cut the final corner to be in with a shout (which is by far the easiest cut on any track).

Silverstone only has a couple of small cut places before the straights, and so only a very small gain can be made by risking those.

But there is also Portugal - an uncuttable course, short and not too technical, while Spa is quite long.

Edit:

I thought the same thing, but looking at the scores from the round, capehorn came out very slightly ahead of jPV and Joni in a very tight bunch, so its still anyones guess who will win those rounds, and its going to be close!
