compiling Puae on linux 32

Hi all,

I just found a thread about compiling it under OSX. So here is my linux Problem:

While any E-uae Version compiles fine, the PUAE Version from GnoStiC gives me the following output while compiling:

Code:
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -DCPUEMU_0 -DCPUEMU_5 -DCPUEMU_6 -DFPUEMU -DUNALIGNED_PROFITABLE
-DJIT -DNATMEM_OFFSET=0x50000000 -DAGA -DAUTOCONFIG -DFILESYS -DSCSIEMU
-DCDTV -DCD32 -DBSDSOCKET -DSUPPORT_THREADS -DFDI2RAW -DDEBUGGER -DSAVESTATE
-DENFORCER -DACTION_REPLAY -DXARCADE -DSHM_SUPPORT_LINKS=1
-I../src -I.. -Wa,--execstack -fomit-frame-pointer -Wall -Wno-unused
-Wno-format -W -Wmissing-prototypes -Wstrict-prototypes
-fno-strength-reduce -DREGPARAM="__attribute__((regparm(3)))"
-pthread -g -O2 -DUSE_XKB -DXKB_PATH=\"/usr/share/X11/xkb/rules/\"
-g -O2 -MT main.o -MD -MP -MF .deps/main.Tpo -c -o main.o main.c
Code:
main.c: In Function »do_reset_machine«:
main.c:715: Error: Too less arguments for Function »m68k_reset«
make[3]: *** [main.o] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/ipp0/Desktop/GnoStiC-PUAE-82a40c2/src'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/ipp0/Desktop/GnoStiC-PUAE-82a40c2/src'
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/ipp0/Desktop/GnoStiC-PUAE-82a40c2/src'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
I translated some words in the output because they were in german.

Does anybody have similar Problems?

Greetings ipp0

Hello fellow Amiga fans, hello GnoStiC,

After playing with e-uae for the last two years, I yesterday found out about PUAE. I tried to compile the latest sources from git (commit 77eadb98ca31923a47e9 from 2010-06-11) under Linux (Ubunty Jaunty, 2.6.28-17-generic #58-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 1 18:57:07 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux) using the following config:

./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-aga --enable-cd32 --enable-cycle-exact-cpu --enable-compatible-cpu --enable-jit --enable-natmem --enable-threads --enable-autoconfig --enable-scsi-device --enable-ui --enable-audio --with-sdl --with-sdl-sound --with-sdl-gfx --disable-xarcade --enable-gccopt --enable-drvsnd --enable-save-state --enable-scsi-device --enable-cdtv --with-gayle

There were a lot of warnings but compilation went through. But when I try to start PUAE, the GUI never shows up, despite it says "Thread 'GTK-GUI' started".

Also, PUAE seems to ignore the unix.rom_path and unix.floppy_path options, I have to use absolute paths.

The hotkeys to insert and switch disk images (F12-F1 etc.) do not work, either.

Now here is my question. I know the source in the git repository is work in progress and is expected to be buggy or even broken. Is the an official release of PUAE-2.2.0? To what commit should I revert to get something working?

Hi Stormking, this an old thread. There is a more recent one at
PUAE 2.2.0 beta series

As you see, it is all beta atm, but puae improves very fast. Last time I checked the gui was working with some flaws, but I didn't use it for some time now.
