Have you checked to make sure the floppy cable connected to the Motherboard header & the back of the floppy drive correctly??

I hope its not the disks as I only received them in the post a few days ago from the wonderful amigakit, and it would be shame if its the floppy drive but there replaceable.

If the drive detects a disk insertion, the cable is correctly connected.

Mine is fitted with a Chinon FZ-354 Floppy & Pin 1 is furthest away from the power connector. Pin 1 on the motherboard is nearest the floppy drive itself. Red wire on the cable denotes pin 1. So, on the mobo:

Be 100% sure the IDC headers on the cable are sat on all 34 pins & not just 17 (one side only)

Do the same check on your floppy drive end. Some drives have a guide & some are like the motherboard, just open.

I've seen this error loads of times & even once did it myself.

If all this is good, then it's probably the drive. I doubt AmigaKit would ship you dodgey disks. FOL just ain't like that.
