Cdtv remote: works fine but A doesn't work

Hello!
my remote controller (for cdtv) worked fine until yesterday. Now, all the keys are working, except for A (the fire button). I don't know why, and I can't play any games

Is it possible to repair?

Open it and clean the pad from inside. Also check the battery(ies).

Batteries was the first thing I've checked. Then, I've opened the remote and cleared it with an anti oxidant electronic liquid...but same results: all the keys works except for A (fire button)

Broken trace? Slightly off-centre carbon contact?

try manually bridging the "A" pads with a screwdriver or piece of wire. That will tell you if you have a problem with the rubber dome or the electronics.

thanks for the answers. I've tried all the solutions but it still doesn't work. No visible broken traces. Could it be a faulty diode?
