Choose resolution based on the refresh rate of the Amiga's monitor

I have a PAL Workbench on a 720x576 50Hz HD mode but when I switch to SuperPlus, the Amiga screen doesnt fit in the PC resolution.

Would be nice it WinUAE could change the screen mode automatically, like it does for 50/60Hz automatic switching. The user could select one resolution for PC/VGA screen modes like SuperPlus, that could be identified by the different refresh rate from the standard NTSC/PAL.

Sorry, no.

Frequency does not equal resolution. You can't "detect" mode just by checking frequency and I no one can guarantee if there will be new mode that uses same rate. (It is never ending support problem, "add support for this mode and that" and so on.., check Indivision thread..)

Only supported method is autoscale and its variants.

This should be easily done with small bit of lua scripting. (Only need to merge lua stuff from fs-uae someday..)

You read my mind Toni! The enhanced resolution autoswitch in 2.7.1 is exactly what I was looking for.
