Any news about Raiden? Has anybody the sources to recompile this game?

Well a demo was "uncovered" and is still available here:

http://redblade.freeshell.org/files/amigarare/

not sure about the full game though!

Thought I'd make this a bit easier, for our "plug-and-play Amiga guys"
FFS-formatted ADF (i. e. will not work on A500, and that is purpose, as it needs AGA!) is now in the zone.
Bloody hard, plasmatron has a point.

[edit] ... and CodyJarrett of HOL and APoV fame, aka Grand Master of Screenshots [tm] has now created a shiny new HOL entry to the pleasure of all!

Hmm...

seems the one you uploaded to the zone has an error, whenever I try and open the zip with winrar I get unexpected end of archive errors and the crc is 000000.

BLAH ... maybe I really should not upload archives to the zone when my inet connection is struggling from 90% load

Re-upped - should work fine now. Apologies and thanks for the report!

(ehmm...and no need to requote my whole post ... afraid of Quick Reply? )

Wasn't this Raiden Demo sourced from a coverdisk? Why can't we just point a link to the coverdisk because shouldn't it be in TOSEC.

Come on Galahad provide us with the Source code

Did nothing come of this, then? It would have been nice to include it in the definitive guide to Raiden I'm writing for next month's Retro Gamer. (Also, does anyone have the ADF file of the demo uploaded anywhere? It's long gone from The Zone.)

@S. Campbell
Galahad might be able to help to track him down again, as Cheops mailed to him back in 2004, so he should have Cheops' e-mail address...only a stab in the dark, but better one than none...
Sometimes I'd really curse the "members get auto-unregistered if not posting for a certain while" EAB "feature".

Judging by the HOL entry this would have been a fantastic release. Any chance of Whd of this demo some point anyone?

I cannot get a hold of Ady, so unless he comes back, then Raiden is a dead one. If someone does get a hold of him, prod him about Pitfall as he was the coder for that one as well.

Don't know if anyone has seen this months retrogamer.
It has an article about all the different versions of Raiden for each system. It mentions the Amiga version being complete and the author is looking for the game. Might be worth checking out at the retrogamer forum.
