Any plans to implement JIT for PPC OSs?

Hi Frode,

there exists a beta version of a JIT compiler code for E-UAE for PPC OSs.

Do you know it?

Yes, I noticed that project several months ago have read some of the posts

I will not be integrating the PPC JIT compiler myself into FS-UAE for several reasons:
* I don't have any PPC-based computer
* I don't provide FS-UAE binaries for FS-UAE (= not official supported, though to my knowledge FS-UAE works on PPC when it is compiled for it).

So I lack motivation for integrating it, plus I wouldn't really know if it works or not. I could accept a patch for it if the patch is clean and integrates nicely with existing code - of someone else wants to maintain that feature. Or perhaps it would make just as much sense to keep an out-of-the-source tree JIT patch if someone wants to maintain and build packages for FS-UAE/PPC. But it won't be me

Modern programs (=CPU hungry) can be run with JIT directly under both, MOS and OS4. Why use an UAE for it?
On PPC, there is really only need for UAE for games.
An ARM JIT would be interesting though, to get the whole thing on a phone/tablet/super light netbook/settop box/rasberry pie. I would even volunteer to write the code re-compiling. Architectures are not that different. Only the integration in UAE is what scares me away.

There exists much more computer with PPC and not everybody use Amiga OS 4 or MorphOS

I think the most games run on 68000 and JIT makes no sence (see WinUAE)
