Oops! Never been there in the recent month(s).

So thank you andreas for having such faith in me.
Haha, you're welcome
Well, seriously, considering the huge amount of stuff contained in there, I confess I would not have assumed that anyone has indeed taken the trouble of sorting the stuff out, but gone the easy way by just dropping all alts and cramming in all non-alts.

So I stand corrected and sorry again.

i just recently tryed gamebase and i'm pretty impressed by it , very cool! i've tryed fist the GamebaseST, as there were available a huge lots of games, while i had few atariST games. then the Commodore 64 version, as i have a good tosec bunch of them. i set up all the relevant stuff, i start the files verification and after it all, i result have 0 of 17000 games... i read on on the project site that either you configure teh database yourself, or you download the 4CD isos of the games, as they are named and archived in a different way from tosec. i'm a little down about it, then i try the Snes version of Gamebase and i get a result of about 100 games on a set of >1000 while i have instead a nice and cansistent GoodSnes set... so coming to the amiga gamebase, i see that there are the links to the .rar archives to download, and my question is: as Belgarath is one of the active tosec renamers, are the tosec sets that one may already have suitable for this version of the database or one has the need to get the archives here?
is Gamebase smart about the directory structure so to do a scan for the games in the subdirectories ? (i've checked the docs and the gamebase site with no luck). thanks!

[EDIT:] sorry i forgot some dots and pauses while i was writing...

For Snes, check out this thread http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=22669

I used LusSpace as the front end. There are 1219 games on my DVD, all from the GoodSnes dats (expect for Star Fox 2 - patched)...

I'm yet to try Gamebase (for the Amiga) but it sounds cool

I've been messing with the AtariST gamebases and I noticed they put multi-disk games in one archive. Is it possible to do this with Amiga games and still be useable with the emulators?

In other words can the current Amiga emulators handle selecting a specific file from a multi-file zip?

Sure makes things a little simpler to keep track of.

@Marco

The games in GameBase Amiga need to have specific names, their tosec names won't work. However there are CMP/RC dats on the GameBase Amiga homepage that you can use on your tosec set to give them the right names (just rebuild them to another directory and don't remove the source files).

The games can be in any directory, but currently they all need to be in the same directory.

@greenchili

WinUAE can certaintly handle multiple adfs within one zip, but to be honest I've no idea how to do that from with GameBase. I'll have a look at GBST to see how they do it and whether it can be done for Amiga.

Floppy disk Savefile.com

I'm testing Savefile.com. It's probably advisable not to try their e-mail notification function with any primary e-mail address, but maybe I'm just paranoid.

Anyhow, other than that they look pretty good. I'd appreciate some feedback.

All files will be up in a few days, right now just the music files are.

YourFileHost Downloads and GameBase Amiga v1.1

Savefile.com downloads seem to still work. The others are down. GameBase Amiga v1.1 downloads are coming soon (or on demand)...

For small (custom) fixes like that just join #mage on irc.abime.net and if you ask nicely we'll send you fixes through DCC.

Floppy disk Torrent

Added a big torrent with (almost) everything needed for GBA. Individual files so you can only download parts you need (if you have a decent client).
