First go, couldn't even beat the first ship:

Tipp for the transfer game: if your side looks disadvantageous, press right to switch sides before pressing fire to start the battle.

I think I'm starting to figure out a strategy.

Yeh, the set ups are basically equal so I can't see how you could have won given his 5 extra nodes.

Amazing score though.

Thanks Lines, 100k was my minimum goal which I'm happy to have reached. My next goal is to beat all 5 ships in one go. The 6th bonus ship is nigh impossible if you don't have it completely memorized (it's full of raiders).

John, is the 6th ship the last? Do the droids vary much as the game progresses? I noticed the description of the military bot is that it is the "most advanced" there is, suggesting it's the top bot in the game?

There isn't a huge amount of info out there about this game. Do you know of any resource sites?

I've not had a proper go since my last score, and this weekend is a public holiday (and it's amazing weather here), but I'll be back on it on Tuesday.

No, there's not much difference in enemy droids between ships 2-5. There's also always just one 999-droid, the captain of the ship. Ship 2 is significantly harder than ship 1 but from then on the difficulty doesn't ramp up further IIRC (only in the bonus ship 6).

Never seen a Paradroid-specific site.

Weather's great here as well. Clear blue sky, even chemtrail-pilots seem to be on vacation.

edit: Yes 6th ship is the last (5th if you didn't collect all keys).

What I've learned so far is that my aim is awful and I do better charging in for the transfer game in nearly all cases.

I do the same. At the start of the game I ONLY go in for Transfer, I never go in for a pistol fight. Only when I've upgraded a few times to a security or military bot do I start getting gungho with the fire arms )although I find the maintenance bot has a fairly decent fire arm/welding torch.

When it comes to firing, I've learnt to shoot on the hoof as it were. I travel hard in one direction then almost fire in another, otherwise you just crash into everything, charging into their line of fire as well...just leads to a double quick death!

First time I cleared a whole ship. Had a pant-pooping moment when the last two drones were big and all I had was my I.D. Lucked out on a naked transfer.

Much happier with my strategy now. I pick up a mid-tier drone and then go straight to the hardest decks, transfer into something bigger and go to town. If I fail to clear them it's a quick restart and no time wasted.

Quite strange and rather original game.
I lost twice at the beginning of the second ship, very frustrating!

There's a huge difficulty spike from ship 1 to 2. But once you memorize which are the hardest decks it gets much easier.

I tried again and same result.
I arrive at the second ship in another place.
3s after I'm dead
I didn't even have time to make a transfer, a sentinel immediately killed me...

I think the difficulty of this game is badly adjusted.

On my first attempt today I almost cleared the second ship but made a silly mistake with two decks remaining.

So I went for a quick run through first ship + easy levels of second to get this slight improvement on my score. Cheeky cleaner robot baited my I.D. right into a military bot.
