Don't worry, you're not the only idiot

I instinctively pressed the mouse button to get past the v1.1 screen (like with the cracktro) but of course this doesn't work...

When you say "After the intro nothing happens" are you taking about the cracktro intro or the Snow Bros. intro?

If you're talking about the cracktro intro; after pressing the mouse button you should see the screen "v1.1". Here you need to press the <fire> button to continue.
Thanks!

Yes I mean the cracktro intro.

Alrighty, have now tested Galahad's 1 disk version in WinUAE

To be expected, everything worked perfectly. Man, I can't believe that there is almost no loading times between starting the game / loading each stage

I've said it before and I'll say it again; you're a friggin' legend Sir Galahad

One thing, I know that there's absolutely no chance of getting a trainer on this version due to disk space. Could I please make a suggestion if possible and only if it's not too much work (considering that you've already invested a lot of time to bring this to the Amiga communty)...

Do you think that instead of the v1.1 screen you could display the cheats from HOL and finally make that screen continue from a mouse click as opposed to the joystick fire button?

Code:
Start the game and type “GSXRZZRFZRCBR” in lower-case to activate the cheat mode. For those with AZERTY keyboards, type “GSXRWWRFWRCBR” instead. You will instantly gain 99 lives if it worked and it will activate the following keys:

‘B’ ____________________ Bonus (big snowman)
‘N’ _____________________________ Next stage

During the game you can also type “EXUP” to see end sequence.

Since the game was never released and there are no docs, the following keys can also be used during the game:

‘P’ __________________________________ Pause
‘Escape’ _________________________ Quit game
‘F9’ ___________ Toggle sound effects on/off
‘F10’ __________________ Toggle music on/off
Last thing left is for a real Amiga user to go through the game and report back (though I very much doubt there will be any issue)

Oh; I almost forgot...

When I completed Sir Galahad's 1 disk version I saw somethings that I haven't seen in the Flashtro release. Usually after completing the game and entering in your name, it then goes back to the Snow Bros. title screen.

With Sir Galahad's version I saw the following screens (only a few pics posted; you get the idea):

Just for my own sanity really; tested to completion for the 5th time the Flashtro cracks...

Yup, after completing the game and entering in your name, it then goes back to the Snow Bros. title screen.

No "Snow Bros. Starring" screen followed by running through game character screens

You know me, being a perfectionist and all that... One last thing Sir Galahad; but I must stress that again if it's too much work then really don't bother (and tell me where to go)...

As mentioned previously it's amazing how quickly your version loads in between stages

...only downfall to that is that you only get a second or so of the cool music while the next level boss image is displayed

It's probably not even possible, but if so it would be very cool to insert a "5 second wait" so to speak, in order to hear the tune before moving into gameplay.

Don't know about that issue personally.

Anyway, as mentioned in this thread, I've completed this Flashtro set:

... Snow Bros (1991)(Ocean)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr Flashtro][f NTSC][t +9 Flashtro][unreleased].adf [CRC: 55CD9CD5]
... Snow Bros (1991)(Ocean)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr Flashtro][unreleased].adf [CRC: B257173D]

Unfortunately it's missing parts of the end sequence, see post #114 and if playing via WinUAE you cannot tick "Cycle-exact" otherwise the game will crash after killing the 3rd floor boss, see post #121.

I've also completed Galahad's 1 disk version below which has the full end sequence but loading between levels is sooooo quick that you miss the cool tunes, see post #146:

... Snow Bros v1.1 (1991)(Ocean)[cr Galahad][unreleased].adf [CRC: A569A943]

Note that the above disk isn't in the latest public TOSEC set so have uploaded to The Zone!

I just read the entire topic, and all is so cool
Just one suggestion, i'm not a coder, but i saw this on Aminet recently : http://aminet.net/package/util/pack/cranker
Seems to be better than ProPack used in Snow Bross no !?!
Is there a way to use it, to gain some bytes and include the trainer ?
