It seems to be related to CD audio.

If you can duplicate it (at least relatively easily), could you try this: http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae.7z use windowed mode and start it with -log command line parameter (so that log window opens).

When it crashes, copy and paste last 20 lines from the log, thanks.

thanks, i'll try that in about two hours. can i also use full-window instead?
because this main configuration (amigaos 3.9) is 1920x1080 in workbench.
makes emulation window bigger than screen size available (also 1920x1080).

Full-window should be fine. Exclusive fullscreen isn't good idea because it can prevent alt-tab back to log window when it crashes.

It is also possible the bug is now fixed. I am not 100% sure.

EDIT: redownload before testing, file may get updated

okay, thx! i'll redownload before i start.

and don't worry, as i'm using two monitors i can't use full-screen anyway.
fullscreen would mess up my desktop if resolution is changed, not good...

it's not a game over crash, but winuae "has stopped working" after completing level 2 of bubble heroes.
i'm using latest stable version 4.1.0 of winuae. unfortunately it did not write any dump for me to attach.
does winuae log crashes anywhere else?

@honx; can you please clarify what you mean by "after completing level 2"?

I just had a quick bash and finished "World 1 - Stage 10" and it then said "Phase 2 Completed!":

Afterwards I was at:

i meant island 2 (caves), after defeating caves boss. so, phase 1 + 2 completed, saved the nymph and defeated caves boss.
the next step in game would have been island 3 (ice world)... but instead of loading island 3 winuae "has stopped working".

Ah ok, so after where I stopped playing.

What type of install did you do:
  • AGA or RTG?
  • Small, Medium or Large?

as i installed the game in 2014, i used rtg (woudn't do it again because in rtg screens i can't activate scanlines).
does small/medium/large mean space on harddrive? if so, then i'm sure i chose large to prevent loading from cd...

//edit: according to directory opus folder size is about 100mb, so i think this must be "large".

I did an AGA and Small install.

Maybe sometime this week I'll try to get to where it stops working for you.

Stupid question but I'll ask anyway... your not using "Save States" are you?

Previously I made one at the start of "World 1 - Stage 6" (just in case), now loaded it, got past "World 1 - Stage 10" and the game doesn't load the next part.

no, not using savestates. i know that these don't work.
as it is installed on my main workbench 3.9 installation, can't even use savestates.
a few years ago (around 2016) i tried it once, loading savestates didn't work at all.
there was also a winuae message saying that savestates were not fully supported.
i can't even record gameplay when playing bubble heroes. output video is corrupt.
