Emulating OS4.1

Hi All

I've set up WinUAE and have been running various Workbench versions, including AmiKit, very successfully.

I'm now looking at trying OS4.1, but have a few questions I hope you knowledgeable people can help me with.

1. Can I set up PPC emulation and install the PPC version, or do I have to use the 'Classic' version of OS4.1

2. Where can I get the PPC version from, the Hyperion website only seems to have the classic version for download, and all the links to the disk version seem to be out of stock?

3. Will PPC software like the timberwolf browser still run on the classic version? is there a Classic OS4 Version

4. Is there anything else I should consider

Thanks in advance for you help
Richard

Currently, you can use two ways to emulate 4.1.
winuae or qemu
with winuae you have to use the 4.1 FE Classic

with qemu the amigaos version 4.1FE sam460ex

here are two videos dedicated to qemu on an I5 2400 processor
they are simple experiments

to better read the link here you can see what is recommended to do and the hardware that is used.
http://zero.eik.bme.hu/~balaton/qemu/amiga/

If instead you prefer to use winuae timberwolf currently not the recommended browser.
You can see some guides here and get some ideas.

here instead some videos dedicated to the 4.1FE Classic with winuae

I remind you that most of the videos you will find are only made for testing, in reality the system works very well.
I am currently working on something simple to have Amigaos 4.1FE classic ready with a configuration that contains all the applications ready for use.
Undoubtedly winuae has some limitations but the work done by Toni is simply magnificent if you intend to have fun and experiment with a system that is already preconfigured and not just the simple installation of the system and then do nothing about it.
The system must be configured as you would with 3.xx
here instead the installation script I'm working on

separate note:
select videos on youtube at 720p or you will see them in low resolution

I hope it's useful, surely to have clearer ideas you have to be a little curious and watch the videos to understand what you could do. :-)
