OK My interanl floppy drive for my A1200 can you take the inside from it and put it into a standard floppy drive with a face panel or can you get front face panels for the internal drives. Its because I have a Gotek aswell and want to put both of them together in a homemade housing case, I have an extended floppy cable & mains lead coming from the back of my Amiga,so when i need floppy I plug leads in, if I need Gotek I take leads out of floppy and put the leads in Gotek. Hope that sounds a bit easier LOL

It would probably be easier to use a floppy drive from a big box amiga, for eg. A2000.

The other alternative would be to some how attach a face plate from a pc drive. Although this may require some modification to the eject button. You would probably have to glue the faceplate in place unless you're lucky enough to find one that fits.

Thanks, I get you now. The floppy in your 1200 is designed for the case so you would be hard pressed finding a case. You would be better of with something like this

Really for Amiga towers but the connector is the same as 1200 so you can use the cable you mentioned and out in a home made case.

Hope I understood right.

Edit, sorry Arnie just seen

Depends on the model. Open up and see if the pins On the floppy inside match what you got. Then try using it to see if compatible. But yes could be an option.
