...I was thinking the same the other day after viewing clenched's map (which looks massive)

hipoonios is the man for that

Anyway, first things first, let's get these [unreleased] gems added to HOL considering that it's the no. 1 Amiga game resource / information site

This reminds me of Atlantyda.

Normally I do not do longplays of unfinished/demo versions of games. But will make an exception and play Desolate World because:

- Feels like a complete game
- Looks damn cool
- No videos on YouTube
- No HOL entry
- Requested

Things noticed so far:

- Feels like a complete game
- Game does not like fastram (it works, but title screen is just blue)
- Crash when you lost all your lives
- Super hard with spawning enemies!
- No way to get new smart-bombs
- You get rarely energy, which makes it even harder!

Busy now, so give me a few days.

So, in The Zone! you will find:

a) Marco_Screenshots.rar

True, but unreleased games are often less straightforward and require a fair bit more work than commercial releases. Just take a look at Atrophy, for example:

@seuden
How about playing the game first and perhaps taking some screenshots for us?!

I don't have any means of playing it setup at the moment.
If there is nothing done by the time I do then be sure I will.

Yeah I know; there's way more to it than just providing screenshots

...I think I provided some of these screenshots (and accidently left "scanlines" on). Ooops

Ok, here you go seuden

Attached is a bootable .ADF from the Aminet file... I've done the following:

... Displays the WarGrounds.readme file upon booting (via PPMore) as there's important information / keys in there.
... As per notes in the above, I've renamed libs:

Quote:
Theres also a version of the library that uses the cpu to draw the graphics so if you have a fast 030 or better just rename "WarGame.lib" to "WarGameBLT68000.lib" and "WarGameCPU68020.lib" to "WarGame.lib". Wargrounds automatically recognises it and will put the bobs in fast and work their before the big copyback to chip (meanwhile.. ;-).
...now you can take some screenshots for HOL
Attached Files
File Type: zip WarGrounds (1999-02-10)(Martin Edwards).zip (343.6 KB, 140 views)

Yep, with a little help from Aminet for the preview screenshots shown. A crapload of time and effort went into research over a number of years in piecing together the HOL entry for Atrophy. Fortunately, after some years of people attempting to contact the devs, the main coder turned up on EAB to tell us the hugely interesting story behind the game and why it wasn't released.

Nope, not your scanlines! I just checked again - all the screenshots were taken from Aminet and were released by the devs to the scene back in the day (before Amiga emulators became usable).

Not that it really matters, but I could have sworn that I took screenshots #1 and #7

...before doing so there was no title screen on HOL.

This was done at around the same time that I took ones for Engima, see post #95 in this thread: Athropy / Enigma.

What ever happened to the Enigma HOL entry though?

Haha! That's awesome DD. What I meant was tho is I don't have any of my Amigas or anything to emulate an Amiga at the moment as it's all packed away. I currently only use my Note 8 to browse EAB. Anyway I digress, thanks for creating the .ADF be sure as soon as I can I will gather all the info that's available for HOL.

Btw, my offer of an A1200 still stands DD.

Much appreciated my friend but I would never use it, plus don't have the space...

It's WinUAE only for me and that's all I'll ever need

Here's the "screenshots" archive that I did back in August 2016 on the EAB file server for Athropy / Enigma
