Back to work on the A1200 lol
I had a spare 4gb hard drive from the A600 so I thought I would setup CWB ADV to try out on the 030 and wow! Its so fast its like using WinUAE...
My CF card and SCSI CD ROM work with the files already included which is a nice touch This will keep the miggy happy whilst I work on setting up large HDD support on my 40gb drive. Ive backed up all the files on my hard drive to my PC I have read the tutorial and of the options it sounds like patching the scsi.device and setting up a 500 meg sys partition and two 7.8gb partitions would be the way to go? Any advice appreciated! Steve. |

I have no idea - I wrote the guide as the info seemed scattered around the net and hard to digest, but not put it into practice for any useful feedback and advice.
500MB system and two big partitions sound like a plane to me. Then if you have an issue with one large partition, you could have another one as a mirror of all your games for backup. I can't see you filling both up with different stuff. You can also experiment with SFS on one of them vs a patched FFS. |

Cheer's Bloodwych, i've put this on the back burner for now... Everything is backed up but i'm enjoying the speed of CWB ADV on my 030 way too much LOL
Everything is almost instant, no waiting for icons to load, etc Steve. |

Oh yeah, also you mentioned the speed of the ADV version - that's good old standard icons for you!!!!
That's why the ADV version is my favourite and on my A1200. Newicon versions are slower. EDIT: you read my mind, or the future, or something. |
