EDIT - nah, I won't include Turrican 2. There are years between the releases. I won't include Last Ninja Remix (Amiga) and Last Ninja 1 (PC) either for that reason.
hence the reason to add the date...

showing the amiga before the pc graphics actually got decent is too biased to create a serious video... actually, its overly biased... we all love the amiga anyways, so why not just have a mix between games on both systems? - regardless of if its better or not (on the amiga)... it just seems like a bash on PC's... even tho there's no real reason other than to please some amiga fans...

... sorry - I'd just rather see honesty rather than ... bias...

edit: wait - you've done the "amiga kicks pc's ass" video already right?

I think it's honest enough to show games from before 1991

But I'll include a few newer ones in this one, like Aladdin.

Hmmm I'm having serious trouble finding enough games..

Does anyone know of any VGA games that do not have CD versions and have decent Amiga ports? I don't feel like downloading big CD versions of games so I'd appreciate it if anyone could name some cool floppy VGA games.

I could really use a platformer or two.

Thanks for the suggestions! Whoah, I had no idea Wrath of the Demon had been ported to the PC

There is a problem I have with PC games that support the MT-32 though.. I cannot emulate it properly, it sounds crappy as hell if I try.
So I have to use adlib or soundblaster even if the games support MT-32. I've been trying to avoid games supporting MT-32 for that reason but I guess I'll just use adlib/soundblaster and write a note about it in the video description.

Dune 1 has a good floppy and PC-CD based DOS versions.

VGA 256 colours. PC-CD version was a "talkie" with a great CDDA soundtrack.

As a Dune & RPG fan I preferred it over the RTS that was Dune 2.

When you make your videos could you please state the year of the games being compared?

In such way people can follow and understand the history better.

And yes I would love it if you remade your first video to include dates. Thank you ever so much.

Erm, why exactly?

Do we disregard a period of years that happens to be the golden period of Amiga?

Back in THOSE days, such a video wouldn't be "biased" just a video depicting reality. Why is it considered biased now?

laffer,

what are you looking exactly on your next video?

are you looking for games where the amiga version is better?
...or
you want a list of games where the PC version is better?

to check availability of DOS-PC games you can consult a list of games on dosbox website

OK

for ex if you want that the amiga wins ....you can compare fire & ice DOS vs fire + ice CD32

It seems this one will be a little "Amiga biased" as well after all.

But I did include some VGA games and no CGA games this time (Lost Vikings, Aladdin, Golden Axe, James Pond 2 and Wrath of the Demon).

I do, the scrolling is worse and the music sounds like crap (unless you have an MT-32 I guess, I can't emulate that thing correctly).
