Compatible 50hz LCDs with ScanMagic

Hi all,

I was wondering, if anyone has ever compiled a list of LCD monitors that work with a 50hz PAL display, that is scan doubled using a Scan Magic.

I've currently got one of these scandoublers running in my tower and have used it for years with a CRT, but like everyone else, tried it with an LCD and it didn't work.

I can keep the CRT but the LCD would let me reclaim some deskspace. I know the solution is to use an Indivision - however, I am thinking I could probably get a bigger and better LCD than I have, that will be 50hz compatible through VGA, for the same money as an Indivision.

I've seen that some Nec Multisyncs are 50hz, and seem to be going quite cheap on ebay...

What are your views?

Chris

Just switch the default workbench screen resolution to an NTSC screen mode and everything will be fine.

You can even force WHDload games into NTSC using a global tooltype to make sure all your favourite games work with LCD's too.

If you have KS3.1 then hold down both mouse buttons after a reset and after a few seconds press space.

I've tried that already - a fair percentage of the games don't work in NTSC mode or run too fast - Lotus 2 for example.

Also, it seems my scan magic produces a very blurry image with NTSC mode enabled....

I have two Fujilink 1901 who accept both PAL and NTSC modes. A wide screen and a 4:3. Both runs quite nicely on any Amiga I have.
