Cool Music

Anyone have heard Apoptygma Berzerk

Quite cool music with some retro C64 style... And rock (depending witch album)

Now Stephan L. Groth (The man who started Apoptygma Berzerk) have done i side project called Fairlight Children (style of Kraftwerk, Fischerspooner, ladytron and Miss kittin)

Snipped from interview

Gary: Fairlight Children seems to have adapted a retro theme with the album's art and style, even some of the samples on the album (most noticably Pac-Man like samples from either Commodore 64 or Atari 2600). In that, I have to ask, were you a big video game fan when you were younger? When I first heard these elements so strongly I nearly hit the ceiling! What are some of your favorites?

FC: when I was younger? I'm still a video game fan, and will always be. I got my first atari 2600 at the age of 12, at that time space invaders and centipede were my favorites. I then moved on to my all time favorite computer, the c-64. My c-64 favorites were : commando, international karate, frankie goes to hollywood and tons of others. Later on it was the playstation, and the last few years I`ve been gaming on my mac and on the xbox. now I`m more into games like age of empire, age of mythology and Tom Clancy`s stuff.

Heh. Never liked Apoptygma really, but Fischerspooner and Freezepop are my current fave "synthpop" bands. Worth a shot if you like synthpop. I wouldn't put Kraftwerk in teh same line as those others though!

Follow me advice and also try these projects:

Ladytron
Miss Kittin
Zombie Nation
Chicks on Speed
Peaches
