Mouse pointer jumps to centre of screen

Hi, I'm running WinUAE 2.2.0 on a Windows XP Home installation (dual core Pentium at 2.8Ghz with 3MB RAM). I am emulating a 68040 CPU, running OS3.9, RTG, and my workbench is 1920x1080.

The very strange thing is that occasionally when using WinUAE, the mouse pointer will jump to the centre of the screen. I believe this happens both with RTG and chipset screenmodes. Changing the WinUAE mouse settings from Windows to Raw doesn't seem to help.

I also get a "sticky" left mouse button on occasion. WinUAE thinks that the left mouse button is being held down when it isn't. In order to snap it out of this I have to press the right mouse button.

I've tried playing with the mouse speed settings both in AmigaOS Preferences and on the Windows control panel side and it doesn't help.

NOTE: this mouse jumping NEVER happens in Windows XP. ONLY in WinUAE.

I do have a serial port graphics tablet installed, but I totally disabled that in Windows (stopped all processes relating to the tablet and made sure the tablet was disconnected) but the mouse pointer still jumps.

I never noticed this behaviour before I upgraded to WinUAE 2.2.0.

Can anyone suggest anything that might help?

Thanks.
