@TC

my friend, all i can think of is device drivers not playing properly on the A600, were there any specific A600 drivers for the Squirrel ?

Hello Zeets,

Hope you are well my friend,

I've used the dms image from Amiga Resource & the readme notes do mention the A600 as being compatible, It works perfectly on my A1200,
I don't really want to install an IDE drive in the A600,
It's just simply for easy Software Transfer from a CD now & then, The PCMCIA is better used for fastram full time.

I agree it's a driver issue, Many people have had this issue however some have got it working so I'm hoping one of the lucky few will be kind enough to upload the "working" driver disk they have to the zone.

The Manual for the squirrel does not state any special procedures regarding the A600.

Cheers Z

TC

I have a few different driver revisions from when I was trying this, I will post some ADF's to you matey

Oh yeah, be extra careful putting the squirell PCMCIA card in and out, it is just ever so slightly too big (by about 0.5mm either side), it knackered my A1200 PCMCIA connector without me even realising! took me ages to figure out what it was!!!
In the end I had to cut the connector open and straighten a pin.
(it did it to my 600 too)

Is that when you can hear something rattling inside your A1200 & A600

Yep Broke that bit of plastic away on both machines, TBH the squirrel fits in ever so easier now & no pins bent any more.

Thanks for the ADF's mate, You got my email addy

Best Wishes

TC
