Making a CDTV Joystick/Mouse Adapter
My enthusiasm for buying parts far outweighs my soldering skills so I'm looking for someone to make up cable with the port+sockets. Anyone know someone who would do it for some good beer money?
This one: http://web.archive.org/web/199902091...-joystick.html I've apporached a few companies, but they won't touch it unless I'm ordering 100! |

Why not buy one? There is a reasonably big supply recently discovered and now available for £23 each.

I was working on a plug in adapter, but I made some mistakes and it did not work very well.
I used a iron transfer paper, it works fine, but need some practice before usage. I wanted to use the IDC connectors, crimp and is done, but I think I put the pins backwards. I fix that by soldering the pins manually for correct orientation. Another mistake, I used too think pins, so the did not fit in the socket properly. As you can see my head hurts from banging the wall Here is a pic of unfinished product... Last edited by amiman99; 20 February 2019 at 04:57. |
