Just thought I would post this PSU mod

The Micro ATX PSU fitted lovely, 400W of power and with the screw locators bonded inside, there's no evidence from the outside its anything special.

When you say ATC I presume thats a typo and you mean ATX? 500w psu's are pretty cheap most of the time, I guess I could get away with combining the A500 and A590 power output easily from something like that

Yes, Typo LOL, if it was me I would be tempted to make this PSU and add an extra cable coming out of it to the A590, it could be done so neatly too.

Except the whirring noise of the fan, which you would normally not hear coming from an Amiga PSU

That's why I prefer PicoPSU version. 60-80W Power brick + PicoPSU itself fits fine in PSU casing and it's designed to work without a fan.

Not as powerfull as full blown ATX PSU, but for Amiga with few moderate expansions OK.

Welllll OK yes, a super quiet fan though (Key trick, don't bolt it to the top of the case, have some spacers, reduces airflow a little but stops 90% noise). After the upgrades done to my A1200, its the fan on the PPC which makes the most noise.

That mod looks pretty professionally done, I have to say I'm not a fan of the fan though. 400W is pretty ridiculous for an Amiga, you'd have been better off using a much less powerful power supply which didn't require a fan.
