Creating Amiga CD images in Windows

Apologies if this has been done before, but I can't search for 'cd' (too short) so I've come up blank.

Basically I've got a load of Aminet Sets and Coverdisc CD's I'd like to image and email to a friend, however I've got no Amiga to do this/test them on.

Naturally I've tried Nero, but it gives me various options for File systems, Data modes, Charcter sets, etc, and I'm a bit lost. Could anybody point me in the right direction?

Alternatively, would something like CloneCD (creates .bin/.cue) work better?

Oh and finally, were there any directly bootable Amiga CD's and would these be imaged using the same settings? I've got a stack of them here but I'm damned if I can remember.

to anyone who can help.

Yup, I would use either CloneCD or Alcohol 120%...

Normal CloneCD image files are .cdd/.cue/.img/.sub BTW, although a new feature is that it supports ISO and UDF formats created by other applications (e.g., Nero, DVD2One, DVDShrink or CloneDVD)

Then you're doing something wrong.

Stick the Amiga CD in an optical drive and start Nero.

Quit the Wizard when it finishes loading

Select the image recorder as recording device

Go to the 'recorder' menu and click 'copy disc'

If you have a DVD writer you may have to select 'CD' in the top left drop-down box

Choose the drive with the Amiga CD in it as source

Tick 'on the fly' copying and set a slow read speed only if the source CD is scratched

in Read Options select 'Data CD' if the disc has no Audio tracks, otherwise select 'Mixed Mode'.

Burn the CD image.
