Release v0.4.4a: Improved power-on initialisation:
- Initialises the floppy interface sooner
- Start at cyl-0 (as a real drive would, after power-on calibration)
- No spurious step command at power on.

Excellent news!
Would it be possible for you to keep adding binaries with the sources as you have done before? Thanks!

I might be tempted to buy another Gotek and install FlashFloppy in my spare 6128.
Need to see if an OLED screen can be fitted into the front of a Gotek, that would be a nice little upgrade.
On the Amiga I have an external display as the drive is on the side, but with the CPC6128 the drive is facing you, so an upgraded display on the actual Gotek would be best.

The 0.91" displays do fit in place of the 3-digit LED display with minor Gotek case modding.

All releases have binaries in the attached zip file on the release webpage https://github.com/keirf/FlashFloppy/releases

EDIT: Sorry, the 0.4.4a zip file failed to upload for some reason. Fixed now

Hey kaffer, do you think this will work on an Ensoniq Mirage synth? Or an Ensoniq SQ-80 (I am guessing the floppy interface is the same Shugart type)
I think it might need .IMG support though. Dunno if even HxC supports the Mirage and how.

Supports DD disks via HFE image format. If the synths have non-Shugart interface or use HD disks then it won't work at the mo.

Hmm.. they are Shugart, but I think the disks might be single sided.

I found online this list of disk drives that work on it:

Shugart SA300 Single-sided
Epson SPM-3924 Single-sided
Panasonic JU324 Single-sided
Panasonic JU364 Single-Sided
Panasonic JU254 Double-sided
Panasonic JU-253-243P
TEAC FD235HF 3240
TEAC FD-35E-02-U
NEC ND-352TH-A
NEC FD 1035

"You can install almost all double-sided PC-style drives in a Mirage--the Mirage will look at only one side of the drive"

So hardware-wise, the unit should be ready, but what about those disk images? You think I can just chuck a double-sided HFE and it won't mind? I use DD Disks with my synths and they work.

Excellent! I must try this.
The main problem is opening the Mirage. It's, well, not so fun. I've done it before :P

Maybe I should do it when I finally get an extra filter to replace the one that died on me.

Then yes it should work. I have had success reported with at least one DD synth. I think that may have been single sided actually.

Latest release v0.5.0a:

- Fixes reliability issues when used with Amiga 1200. Drive would often not be detected, especially on warm reboot and accelerated 1200s.

I would like to remove the alpha/prerelease tag soon. Please test and report any issues!

You're unstoppable!

Is the firmware still performing oddly on accelerated systems?

I can't promise all issues are fixed but it's much happier on a 1200 with aca1233. To be honest it was flaky on 1200 even with no accelerator. But no longer! I haven't personally tested an 060 accelerator or vampire yet. I would like to hear reports.

So I just asked this in the Gotek HXC thread aswell, but would it be possible two emulate two drives (DF0 and DF1) on one Gotek?
