EAB Games League Season 1 Round 5 - Project-X

It's Team 17's beautiful but infuratingly tricky blaster...

Project-X

The rules for this competition are in this thread. Here's a quick run-down though:

- The round starts at 12:00am UK time on Monday, August 13, and finishes at 11:59pm UK time on Saturday, September 1.

- Scores can only be posted during the time of the round, any scores posted outside of this period won't count.

- You can play on a real Amiga or an emulator, WHDLoad or not, whatever you prefer.

- If you can, take screenshots or use a digital camera/mobile phone to provide proof of your score, however if you are unable to do this then you can upload your high-score file as confirmation. You should also write your score in your post.

- Anyone can enter at any time, and you can post as many scores as you want during the round. Of course, only your highest score will count towards the final standings.

- Between August 18 and August 24 the voting will take place for the sixth round's game, a thread containing details will be created nearer the time.

- At the end of the round, the player with the highest score gets 12 points, 2nd place gets 10, 3rd 8, 4th 7, 5th 6, 6th 5, 7th 4, 8th 3, 9th 2 and 10th 1 (assuming that many people take part).

- No cheating! No using save states, cheat codes, trainers or anything like that, and no modifying scores in any way. This competition is just a bit of fun and hopefully no-one will sink that low. However, if you genuinely suspect someone has cheated in any way, please PM me and I'll look into it. If I find someone guilty of cheating, they will be banned from the league for the entire season.

READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU START

- The original version of Project-X must be used.

- Arcade Mode must be set.

I think that's it. If you have any questions, you can either post them in this thread or in the Rules thread. Thanks and have fun!

Final Scores:

1. VermillioN - 351,910
2. turrican3 - 323,660
3. Bamiga2002 - 298,400
4. peace - 286,310
5. farmarfred - 285,700

Why must i use the hyperion ship?

Everyone has the same chance regardless of their choice of ship, surely which is chosen is down to GAME STRATEGY!

Ok It's Detaray here now.. I registered here because of my big brother's request. Should I play it again or do you accept the Detaray score, which I played years ago?

Nice. Are those biscuits made with real Pork? And I do like Half Man Half Biscuit - everyone go listen to Evil Gazebo or 24 Hour Garage People.

I'm a Lemoner. I run the league over there. Since we're both doing Project X, seemed like a good time to offer a little healthy competition. I like to play.

Damn it. I got over 180,000 and was going well when WHDLoad quitted with Access Fault

Edited:
It reminded me the bug I had in PX-SE. In PX it happens in the same moment (Level 2 - flying balls which born another balls). Psygore fixed the bug which occured only on BlizzardPPC but in PX-SE. I forgot to check PX. So now I know it was needed to fix the bug in both slaves...

Same thing here, but with WHDLoad 16.8. Didn't crash with 16.7. It happened exactly on 2nd level with the balls giving birth(?) to new balls . Damn access fault!

this game is really

you are flying a long shooting some baddies whith your mega duper plasmaweapon
when you make the BIG mistake to evade some enemy shoots by going left to right really quick with the joystick and poff you now have some puny two shoot ordinary no good for nothing weapon

hate the way you can select new weapons
