OK, I have run it again, with SCSI, A3000 configuration.
I stopped the emulation just after the error happened (MINIX was trying to write a file.)

Any improvements with the new version of WinUAE? I haven't tried yet.

Not without good and simple test cases. I am not that sure we can assume all versions of Minix actually work 100% correctly with XT drive, it is too easy to break support for hardware that no one uses..

I have A590, I can do it if someone donates working XT drive

So I installed the new version of WinUAE, tried both SCSI and XT, and I get the same results as before; disks get formatted correctly under AmigaOS, and I manage to create the MINIX filesystem without any apparent errors; but then any "intensive" disk operation results in writing errors.

Note it's not just a problem with the XT interface; the MINIX SCSI driver "sees" the A3000 interface configured from WinUAE; I tried with different disk geometries, but it still doesn't work properly.

I changed the thread's name to show that there are problems both with SCSI and XT.

EDIT: the name change is only local :/

Thread title changed.

SCSI log could help (much more than with XT which does not do much). Use -scsiemulog command line parameter to generate it. (probably best to have -log -scsiemulog , this way you can instantly see if some odd messages appear)

Tried the new 3.3.0. Weirdly enough, now MINIX doesn't even recognise the partitions, whereas before it at least recognised them.
When I try to format (both XT and SCSI) with the A2091 utility disk, the A500 configuration crashes.

Can't duplicate any partitioning problems. You really need to include much more details if you want this fixed.

What exactly you selected from install disk, which version of install disk, preferably include the disk image because most of them are modified, what disk size, config, winuaelog.txt.
