EasyNet/CDROM Issue

Hi, I've just bought an EasyNet kit from AmigaKit but have found out that I need a CDROM drive to install the drivers and software. I don't have one for my Amiga. Any advice on the best way forward please?

Cheers,
Andy

Have you got a PCMCIA transfer kit? If so you could copy the contents of the CD to a CF card and install from there

and once you copied the files on EasyNet's CD to the compact flash card, you'll still have to use the assign command in something like this:

C:Assign EasyNET: CF0:EasyNET/

You need to make sure you alter the above to match your CF folder location.

This step is no longer required.

A very useful piece of hardware..Wish I bought one sooner..would have saved me opening the casing of my Amiga so many times in order to put stuff on CF..

Is there an option for wpa security with this? I have easynet and the pcmcia wireless card supplied by amikit. I rarely use it as I'm not too interested in leaving my wireless wide open with just a WEP connection key.

The new EasyNet with WPA support has just been finished and is being tested before release. WPA is slower on Amigas than WEP if you do not have a decent accelerator.
