We have a new creature living in the EAB channel... Its name is eabot, it's a "she" and she lives within the EAB IRC channel...
If you are not an EAB IRC visitor, you are missing on great stuff like:

expressed a belief that the world was created by Bill Gates

Yeah, I think its a shame that when the irc channel is with people, I am at work. When I am at home, the channel is usually empty...

I reckon that people talking to scripts have a psychological problem.

Yep.

The internet is a different communication method. Therefore now jokes are not restricted to one telling another "hey, there was this cat, and came a dog, and sniffed its arsehole, and then....".

A new medium brings new forms of communication, therefore new jokes. And eabot can be quite a joke

Or something. I dont think telling us ALL (everyone that entered the channel played with the bot at least once) that we have a psychological problem is very nice, andreas matey

People talking *regularly* to this thing do have such, I reckon.
And I said "I reckon": this means it doesn't have to be like this, but it only *could* be true.
And don't get offended by me just expressing my unbiased and personal point of view about a script preventing interesting discussions with users because as soon as people talk to this thing, there isn't anything else they occupy themselves with anymore for half an hour. :hoo
The only interest goes toward the bot then, and that sucks.

I don't use IRC because I want to watch people talk with scripts, I've got better things to waste my time with.
