RSCP v1.15 released!
INTRODUCTION:
RSCP v1.15 was completed 6 months ago! Unfortunately, thebajaguy seems always too busy to release it. Therefore, I am releasing it here on EAB until the official Aminet release is updated (at which time this thread will become obsolete). NOTE: The documentation provided is an Aminet style readme. WHAT'S NEW in V1.15? The Bytes/Sec bar graph will not be displayed until the test is run. This allows RSCP to Auto-select the 4000KB or 8000KB* size. The text output string for the transfer rate was increased to 5 digits. This should allow transfer rates > 10MB/sec to be displayed correctly. *Unfortunately, the granularity is also reduced. Looks like I somehow missed this! Looks like it's finally the benchmarking tool I was looking for ages.
Just benchmarking absolute maximum speed values isn't that useful if you're not having control on what you're testing and how. Does anyone know of any benchmark that also measures random vs linear reads on Amiga? |
