After using a theme, visualprefs freezes the amiga...

Well, I could not think of a better title...

Here's the story:
I made a fresh installation of 3.9 , with both bb's, installed the g-rex drivers, cgx4, 060 libs, everything nice and steady
I installed full palette, visualprefs all working nice...
then I used my favorite themes from the "Amiga Theme Experience" website, installed them and appied them, all working nice, but if I try to run vprefs then the amiga freezes! I mean the theme gets applied ok upon boot, but a second run of "GUI" in Prefs, causes the machine to freeze...

any ideas?

Using ATE here too on my Amigas, maybe there's something fishy in your startup-sequence
I can post mine when I get home from work if you want.

fishy on my s-s??? I used it all the time when I had the zorroII piccoloSD64, this happened the moment I put all my cards on the g-rex... perhaps there is some birdie2000 prob that appeared now with the voodoo3?

I have the same problem. Kill the Birdie2000 task before you load VPrefs GUI, that normally sorts it out.

as I suspected... birdie2000 is to blame, I wonder why now... anyway, I don't use the ate themes now, the high resolution makes up for me
