Phillips CM8833-II High pitched noise?

Was using my amiga this afternoon, and went downstairs for 10 minutes, came back upstairs and the moniter (Phillips CM8833-II) is making a high pitched noise and the screen has gone black. The power led is also not lit.

Please tell me its not died

It might also be an open or shorted transistor, or even a broken flyback transformer. Anyways, I'm fairly sure it's fixable by your local tv repair shop, as mentioned above. Even if they're not the best around.
