Can't really argue with that... the Special Edition is much better.

This sucks, I got caught out by those missile things near the end of level one, they're pretty horrible. (Oh and those other scores I quit out as soon as I lost a life, it was near the start obviously.)

Yeah, not having an option in the menu was definitely an oversight. There's nothing more frustrating than losing a fully-powered plasma just because you were a bit enthusiastic with the ol' joystick.

At least, even when your weapon swaps, you are not losing its power. So when you manage to find power ups to make it to plasma or magma you will enhance it either way

Bah, I got an access fault at the start of level 2 with WHDLoad 16.8. I was doing much better this time as well...

Bit rusty are we
Took me a while to get into the swing of it as well but at least I'm almost competent now. Good to see you finally found time to enter too |

Maybe you should stick with 16.7 for this? I switched back to 16.7 and it didn't crash for me at all, though I didn't get as far as you did. The slave definitely needs updating by the looks of it.

What do you mean? On 16.8 it crashes at the first wave on the second level. On 16.7 I got about mid-way (?) through the second level (where those balls that kind of give birth to more balls) before I died. Horribly.

@Graham
I was asking if using WHDLoad 16.7 you are able to fly over those balls. Bamiga2002 claims that using 16.8 he was able to fly it through and make it to level 3. In my case, using 16.7 (and earlier) it quits with access fault everytime I got to those balls. |

Well it didn't crash when I got to that bit, I didn't last very long though as I was on my last life. I lasted a few seconds and it seemed okay to me, I'll need to get there again to make sure though.

OK, access fault on 3rd level after the 1st wave of birds when the stone spikes fall down...
