Os 3.9

Just wondering if anyone out there is runnin OS 3.9 on a basic 1200?

I should have one soon just standard + 4mb chip ram + ide interface (CD and bigger Hard Drive) and wondering weather that kind of machine would cope ok.

I have read it will run but just don't want it to chug like my pc does with winxp

Cheers for any help.

They say the minimum requirements is 2chip + 6meg fast (8meg total ram), but I've got it to run successfully on 4meg fast. I haven't tried it without fast ram. It would probably run, you would probably just lose a lot of features.

OS 3.9 system requirements

Os 3.9 is just as fast as OS 3.1. There's a lot of little tweaks here and there to the OS, but nothing has been dramatically changed.

Send a message via ICQ to Severin
replace the 4Mb simm with an 8Mb one and you should be fine, but without at least an 030/50 I would stick to 3.1...

Having upgraded the A4000 from WB3.0 to OS3.9, I'd say it's definately worth it! Buy that mem! will go your face afterwards...
