A new development version has been released. Changes in FS-UAE 2.5.29dev:
  • Updated emulation core from WinUAE 3100b11.

Hmm yes that does look silly. I'm not sure right now why QT render that control with the old style... -Will have to get back to you on that.

it's because of database schema upgrades in 2.5.28dev. The older version will refuse to start because one or more of the databases are too recent. If you want to downgrade, you need to delete one or more of the .sqlite database files (in this instance I think Cache/oagd.net.sqlite and Data/Database.sqlite).

Hi

I just updtaed to the latest dev on Linux64. It is great except that the mouse moves very very wonky as if like there is some underlying bezier interpolation that tries to correct irregulaties of the mouse movement which makes mouse moves in "waves".

I have "mouse_integration = 1"

I am not on that computer at the moment and I did not want to restart the emulation due to some stuff on it. I just want to see if there was a mistake with mouse stuff.

On Osx, Fs-Uae Arcade gui have a bug: in dual screen configuration it open a screen stretched to double of effective pixels (only half screen is visible)

A new development version has been released. Changes in FS-UAE 2.5.30dev:
  • Fixed ROM initialization of Cyberstorm PPC.
  • Lowered default volume of floppy drive sounds.
  • Updated emulation core from WinUAE 3100b14.
Changes in FS-UAE Launcher 2.5.30dev:
  • Fixed loading with variant UUID on command line.
  • Added a basic WHDLoad settings page (tweak splash delay, show directory for WHDLoad.key file).
  • Fixed loading of .fs-uae config files containg % character in values.
  • Fixed on-demand download of floppy images from HTTP.
  • Remove some inefficiences when selecting database games in config list.
  • Fixed look of variant choice control under OS X.
Changes in FS-UAE Arcade 2.5.30dev:
  • Fixed support for using GNOME 3 hide top bar extension + hiding task bar.
After having been unsigned for a while, the Windows development version is now again digitally signed by Frode Solheim. New for this release is that the OS X development version is also digitally signed.

I haven't gotten any other reports of this. When mouse integration is active, the acceleration should be fully controlled by the host OS. Perhaps you have a mouse utility running within Workbench which interferes? Please try booting a stock Workbench disk and see if the mouse behaves better then.

I'll try to set up a dual display configuration here, and I'll then try to reproduce the issue.

Frode, there seem to be few untranslated strings on new 2.5.30dev version. When those will be updated to Crodwin (https://crowdin.com/project/fs-uae) so that we can translate them?

List of untranslatable strings on FS-UAE Launcher:
Keyboard settings page: Grab keyboard when input is grabbed
Sound settings page: Audio output frequency
Synchronization settings page: Page title is not translated in the list on left, but it is translated on top of the page.
Advanced (display) settings page: Page title is not translated in the list on left
Game database settings page: the choice "All games in the database" is not translated.
Game database settings page: Include adult-themed games is not translated
Whdload settings page is not translated at all of course.
Experimental settings page: Enable experimental config visualization (requires restart)

Of couse this is only important before you decide to release next stable version...

OK, translated. There were few strings which are not shown in launcher anywhere - they are probably something for the upcoming versions?

I would like somebody to check my (not-always-so-good) Finnish translations, if there is anyone here using FS-UAE who understands Finnish?

Guys, I've searched hi and low and maybe it has been answered before, but i can't find it. So, pretty plz, is it possible (and if so how) to define cyberstorm ppc scsi as the hd controller like in winuae? i mean, in the config file as I'm not using the launcher (MacOS X PPC host here). Many thx and sorry if it has been answered before.

edit:
oh, I think I've found it: "hard_drive_0_controller = cpuboard_scsi0" is that correct?
and I've just realized I've posted on the wrong thread, sorry about that!

and I've just read that the ppc version of fs-uae doesn't support cybppc at all atm, d'oh! Sorry guys, I'm really new with fs-uae!

Yes, the following will indeed work:

You can also just use scsi_cpuboard, and FS-UAE will auto-assign a unit number:

(the log warning is harmless in this case, the code that gave that warning looks for scsi_cpuboard, not scsi0_cpuboard, if you give a UAE-recognized controller name it will still work).

Mind you, you still need to fulfil other requirements, including:
- Cyberstorm PPC ROM to boot it
- You cannot use directory hard drives, etc.

one question: fs uae cannot emulate particular rtg card, for instance picasso4, like winuae does. am i right? if it though can, how to set it?

It emulate perfect PicassoIV ..
fsuae have the same options like winuae from where it took the emulation routines

Finally confirmed. When I tested, FS-UAE Arcade appeared on (only) one monitor, but only about half of the arcade interface was shown. It will be easier for me to fix now that I can test it properly myself (https://github.com/FrodeSolheim/fs-uae-arcade/issues/4).

Easiest way is to use the FS-UAE option
