No CDDA in Defender of the Crown CDTV
Sorry if I sound stupid here, but isn't the theme tune supposed to play during the introduction under WinUAE? I'm getting nothing here.
I'm running a TOSEC copy of the CD image through Daemon Tools. I don't know if it has to do with analog/digital connections, but then I am using a virtual CD drive here. I'm using 1.4.0 atm, if that helps. |

I'm using XP with SPTI, selected under Misc. No problems here. It's a Bin & Cue, mounted via Daemon Tools 4.09.
But the controls only works in CD32 emulation, at least for me. |

Do you hear sound if you play DOTC audio tracks with any media player? (the very first thing to do!)
You also must have "digital" checkbox checked in DT CD ROM device in device manager. (DT does not support "analog" audio) |

First off, I'm a doofus. I thought I had DT installed, then it turns out I've been using Alcohol 120%'s virtual drive system instead. Gngh.
But apart from that, it appears the drive in question had digital output disabled. Re-enabling it solved the problem. Cheers for that! Now there's another problem though. How exactly are you meant to get out of this introduction sequence? Pressing the buttons does nothing (and yes I have setup CDTV pad control properly), and it appears to freeze during the Cast list screen. |

You need to wait until title screen music ends and then press fire button. (and yes, same happens on real CDTV too. Don't ask..) |

I'll have to try it again. I swear I allowed the music to finish before pressing Fire, but I was still stuck....

mhm,
burn the cd on a disk, put it in the cd-rom, and don`t forget to connect the cd-rom-drive with a 4 pin-cable directly with the soundcard. and of course, download the new winuae-beta that should help ouh sorry, just read that its about dotc, not dotc2 |
