Upgrades
Hi everyone thinking about selling some Amiga hardware i have. Anyone tell me how much to ask. I have the 4x1 IDE convertor which allows 3.5 hds and Cdroms to work on the Amiga. Also i have Apollo 1230 25mhz with 8mb ram. And a PCMCIA 16bit soundcard. Used to use Octamed until it moved to the PC then discovered Buzz.

What model is the pcmcia soundcard? And it has the program (drivers) to run in the Amiga?
I didn't know they exist, in fact I asked time ago. I'm interested. Edit: Is it the Aura sampler? Last edited by Retrofan; 14 July 2012 at 13:23. |

Hi boombaxx, do you still have the Aura? I'm interested too if Retrofan doesn't take it.

The thing is that he's opened the thread to ask about a price, but we are asking him the same...

Yes, I don't really know what he should ask for it and I didn't want to jump the queue by making an offer.

I would have Ebayed it let the market decide but Ebay are so greedy. The soundcard is 1996 vintage as are the IDE interface and Apollo. Just want some idea of a fair price for them. I also have a Amiga 1200 made in Scotland at Dundee

And I don't know anything about the Aura sampler. I would like to know what it can do or see it working.

I would speculate that the IDE adaptor is worth £15-£20 and the card: somewhere between £70 - £100, but it really depends on the card's limitations i.e is it limited to 8mb, is it PCMCIA compatible on 3.1 roms? No idea about the audio card tho. Just a general speculative post on my part! no warranty or anything like that |
