Greetings:

Since you either ordered or reserved a copy of "MindCandy Volume 1" I wanted to let you know we are beginning work on the second volume of this DVD series. It will be called "MindCandy Volume 2: Amiga Demos" and consist of nothing but Amiga demos.

If you have some time and any interest in Volume 2 please fill out our survey. Don't forget to add yourself to the reservation list if this is something you think you will purchase so we have an idea how many we should press.

SURVEY: http://www.demodvd.org/survey
RESERVATION LIST: http://www.demodvd.org/reservations

When will volume 2 be released?
- Probably Q2/2004 (about 12-18 months away)

Any other news?
- You can visit our main web page (www.demodvd.org) or forum
(http://www.fusecon.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=12) for current status.

Regards,

If it's like Volume 1 then it's strictly a DVD Video release. This sort of reminds me of the Minds Eye series of animated video's. But in a way this would be good if the the enhance the video quality so you get full Super Video resolution or higher

I agree RCK, if they cleaned things up on the Sounds and Video parts it should like sweet on a big screen with THX/Dolby Digital Sorround Sound

As for the "Easter Eggs" are there more then one

I dont know how you can clean it, the amiga's output is qute lores and might look shite.

It would look as good is you connect a real Amiga to a big screen . But you'd be using teh Real Thing, and you know the drill... nothing beats it ;D

@aki: yep of course, nothing beat the real thing..

but a lot of friends don't have one amiga anymore,
so if I want to show them those marvelous demos, the DVD will be the easiest solution

but don't afraid, I'll told them that "NBTRT (c)aki"

@Akira, yes I know the drill and it's a good thing too

Myself I would like to have a nice Video Archive of the cream of the crop of Amiga Demo's on an easy to use and carry media storage unit

Hey if you can enhance the output, the DVD would be nice. Maybe passing the RGB output through some magic box... ? I dunno.

Still, there;s another advantage to the DVD.. if you don't own an Amiga beefy enough to run the demos. I can't run 060 demos, for instance.

There seems to be a huge amount of Video Editing equipment out there. I'm sure much of it can be used to enhance and possibly convert the NTSC output into a digital stream for further editing and/or enhancment
